Meet Our Team

The passionate puppeteers, performers and palaeo-nerds behind every Dino Encounters show.

Aidan — Dino Encounters Presenter

Aidan

Presenter

Hello! My name is Aidan and I'm one of the presenters for Dino Encounters.

While my highly skilled colleagues keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, it's my job to talk to the kids, run games and keep things fun out front.

I was a huge dinosaur fanatic growing up and thought I'd be a palaeontologist for the longest time — until high school, when I discovered my passion for drama. Combining the two and sharing the prehistoric world with some theatrical flair really is a dream come true.

Currently I'm studying a Graduate Certificate in Music Studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, after completing a Bachelor of Music in Performance there in 2021.

Favourite dino: Triceratops
Andrew — Dino Encounters Prehistoric Entertainer

Andrew

Prehistoric Entertainer

My name is Andrew and I'm a prehistoric entertainer for Dino Encounters. My job is to entertain and educate children about the prehistoric world.

I host the interactive live shows and organise dinosaur-themed games for children's parties. I love that I can combine my two life-long passions: palaeontology and performing.

I'm proud to be part of such a talented team of puppeteers and creatives. Together, we bring prehistory to life. Currently I hold a Diploma of Screen and Media and will soon be studying towards a Bachelor of Science.

Claudia — Dino Encounters Dino Keeper

Claudia

Dino Keeper

Hey there and lovely to meet you! My name is Claudia and I'm one of the presenting Dino Keepers at Dino Encounters. With the help of my dinosaur friends, my job is to entertain and educate kids about the wonders of the prehistoric world — all while creating a whole lot of fun.

My passion for all things fossilised and ancient began young. Every school holiday my mum would take me to the Queensland Museum to wonder, learn and join in as many programs as I could. After high school I volunteered there and worked across different exhibitions — you could almost say I grew up in a museum.

Currently I'm studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Queensland, majoring in ancient history. I plan to complete honours and then postgraduate Museum Studies, mixing my love of working with children with my love of spreading knowledge.

Favourite dino: Brachiosaurus
Roland — Dino Encounters Founder & Operator

Roland

Founder & Operator

My name is Roland and I'm the founder and operator of Dino Encounters.

I've always admired dinosaurs and dreamed of creating a show that would entertain kids who share the same interest. Being a creative person, I had lots of fun putting together our handmade staging props and watching our dinosaur puppets come alive from a few sketches.

I'm proud to have a team of absolute dinosaur enthusiasts with a real passion for entertainment. With a strong customer-service background — and three young children of my own — I understand how important it is to get the entertainment right on special occasions. We're here to create memories that last. And we won't stop until you see us on a big stage!

Hands down the best interactive learning experience we have seen. We absolutely loved having Dino Encounters at our centre — the most engaging show, and the children loved, loved, loved it. So did all the adults. It's amazing how they bring to life a world that always captures children's imagination.
